Benefit 03 - Ring Tones per DDI/EXTN
On the Officeserv 7000 range of systems you are now able to set up Digital extensions to have the ability to have different ring tones, therefore giving you the ability to differentiate between an internal or external call and the ability to tell the difference between external calls.
Two areas where this may benefit a customer are:-
1 – If the customer has more than 1 external number coming into 1 location, they not only can see which number has been called by Alpha tagging on the LCD, they can now hear it!
2 – The same applies if the customer has a priority number, e.g. doctors ringing into the surgery from a house visit on an ex-directory number.
How to set it up
1 - To change how your phone will ring internally (or on a standard external call), press the TRSF key followed by 111. You can now select a ring tone by pressing numbers 1 – 8 on your keypad. When you have your desired tone press the TRSF key to exit.
2 – To change how your phone will ring on a DDI call, get your system administrator to go into the DDI table which is MMC 714. For each DDI you have an option called Tone. Within this option you are able to select options 1 – 8 (as above).
Please note if you have more than 1 DDI number, you can set this for every DDI.
