Benefit 05 - Unified Messaging
Unified messaging is a facility that enables you to have a message left in your voicemail box, converted into a WAV file and e-mailed out to another device such as a desktop, Laptop, PDA or blackberry.
The Samsung products on which this benefit is available are, the SVMI 8 (revision 2 only) the SVMI 16 & the SVMI 20. It is also available on the built in Voicemail on the 7100 system.
*Please note that on these products you get 5 free licenses*
Some of the benefits that this feature offers are as follows; having the ability to get notification of a new voicemail left in your voicemail box (if you are out on the road); having the ability to listen to that message without having to dial into the office to retrieve it. If a customer is using the standard Voicemail call record facility, those messages will also be converted to WAV files to keep a record of certain calls if necessary.
What is required & How to set it up
1 – The Voicemail system has to be installed onto the customers LAN
2 – The customer has to have a working SMTP server (Microsoft exchange)
3 – All standard voicemail settings need to be programmed in plus a few additional settings for each mailbox that requires the benefit.
